Non-perforated Prepreg Release Film is a high specification release film designed to offer the very best performance for autoclave and out-of-autoclave prepreg manufacturing.
In common with bagging film, the flexibility and conformability of the release film can make a significant difference to the quality of the cured laminate, especially to the prevalence of pin-holing and corner voiding.
It also offers the potential for high temperature processing (up to 210°C) along with excellent chemical resistance and self-release from a wide range of resins including epoxy, polyester, vinylester and phenolics.
It is used as a release film for prepreg layup when vacuum bagging composites for out-of-autoclave or autoclave cure. The film is applied directly onto the back of the prepreg laminate, covering the whole surface and acts as a thin, conformable, non-stick barrier between the laminate and the breather fabric.
